Service updates
Norwich Lord Mayor's Parade Saturday 5 July
The Norwich Lord Mayor's Procession will be taking place during the evening of Saturday 5 July which will mean that our evening buses in the city will be diverted and will be unable to call at most of their normal city centre stops.
On the X29, the 1840hrs bus from Norwich to Fakenham will call as usual at Norwich Bus Station but will then be unable to call at any stops until Drayton Road Roundabout (earlier buses are not affected). On the X5 all evening buses will call at Norwich Bus Station as normal but will be unable to serve any normal stops between there and Aylsham Road in both directions.
Advance warning - major roadworks in Gaywood this summer
Starting in late July for up to eight weeks, gas main renewals around the Gaywood Clock junction and along the southern end of Wootton Road will mean road closures and major disruption to buses passing through Gaywood.
Special arrangements are being finalised for buses on Coasthopper, FairsteadOne, the 4, 5, 45, 48 and the X8. There will be changes to times and routes during this period, and there wil inevitably be delays to all buses in King's Lynn while wthe work takes place at this busy traffic junction.
Further details will be posted here as soon as we have them.
Walsingham diversion extended
The building work that has meant a width restriction in the centre of Walsingham is now expected to continue until September at the earliest. Therefore the diversion on the 29 in both directions will continue until the road is fully reopened.
Buses cannot serve High Street, Holt Road and Knight Street, and stops at The Shrine and The Pump are suspended. In the meantime, buses will divert via Blind Dick's Lane, the old railway trackbed, Station Road, Egmere Road and Guild Street to rejoin the normal route at Wells Road. Temporary stops are in place at the Old Rail Station, alongside the coach park, and at Guild Street War Memorial.
